Because the PR world exists in a constant state of motion, we rarely take pause to reflect on our amassed successes over time. A big win begets a brief moment of celebration, then without skipping a beat, we all turn to focus on the next task at hand. As we prepare to celebrate TDL’s 6th anniversary in March, I took a moment to look back over the last year and, while I knew we produced amazing results, the impressive collection of accomplishments compels me to brag a little bit about the sharp, dedicated, highly effective team of pros at TDL who work together to exceed client expectations every single day.
While the midnight toasts are a few weeks behind us, we’re just kicking off our new year’s resolutions: blog more, drink less, get healthy, and keep delivering awesome results for our clients. Here is our reflection on the past year, as told by the numbers:
3: New team members added. Alena Bowen joined us as Content Director, Matt Isaacs as Account Executive and Kerri Olsen as our legal industry expert. All of them are awesome. You’ll hear more from them in the coming weeks.
4: Funding announcements handled. We shared funding news from four of Kitchener-Waterloo’s hottest start-ups, resulting in coverage in Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Bloomberg, Wired, and more. Meet our Canadian friends:
• Clearpath Robotics
• Cognitive Systems
11: New clients. Our client base grew throughout the year with new clients across North America. We continued to focus on growth tech companies, including an expansion into legal tech. Please give a warm TDL welcome to:
• Cognitive Systems
• Conversion Logic
1: New office space. Come visit our headquarters in Denver’s Green Spaces, a co-working hub for entrepreneurs (and one of our clients, of course!) Bonus points if you bring your dog.
65+: Contributed articles placed. One of the best parts of our jobs is working with our clients’ incredibly smart and interesting executives and experts. We’re proud to have shared their voices and expertise in articles across both mainstream and niche publications. Some of our favorites include:
• Video Is A Marketer’s Best Friend, part of an ongoing column by Vidyard CEO Michael Litt
• Attribution and the Wisdom of Algorithmic Crowds, by Alison Lohse, COO and co-founder, Conversion Logic
• The Big Tech Firms Are Wrong: We Must Build Smart Cities from the Ground Up, by Kurtis McBride, CEO and co-founder, Miovision
Countless: Unique pieces of coverage secured by proactive outreach and a team that knows how to uncover and communicate a good story. A small sample:
• Could You Be an Expert Witness?, FORTUNE
• Amera is a Wireless Security Device Designed to Detect Motion and More, TechCrunch
• A Look Inside the Jacksonville Jaguars Innovative Social Media Strategy, Forbes
